Erica Carlson's flight arrives on Friday night and is hopeful to be ready for the Mothers Day match up with Gladstone at high noon on Sunday! Clearances and recovery from surgery on her wrist may push her first game back for the Pirates to the following week. Erica had a minor wrist surgery the week before her team's quarter finals series in Germany in March. She played in the quarter finals leading her team (Heidelberg) to victory in the best of three series and then had an infection develop in the wrist. This led to another surgery to clean up the infection. This effectively the killed the chances of her team in the semi finals and they lost without her anchoring the middle.
It is doubtful that her wrist will be ready but coaching staff, Nikki Bairstow and Fiona Hannan will be eager to give Erica until tip off to determine her fitness, pending clearances!
