Why I Wanted to Join the Board:

I’d like to help steward a safe, rewarding basketball environment that supports junior development, whilst also strengthening the association’s brand and commercial outcomes.

Skills and Experience I Bring:

35+ years of coaching experience, winning GPS, QGSSSA, State and National Schools championships. I worked with the Brisbane Bullets in multiple capacities through to their 2007 NBL championship and later founded the “Bring Back the Bullets” campaign that helped the club return to the NBL in 2016, serving on the advisory board. Sponsorship experience with the NBL, AFL, NRL, Esports & racing. Beyond sport, I run a multinational FinTech company and have advised many successful ecommerce startups.

My Connection to the Association:

I grew up locally, played in neighbouring clubs that helped form the Pirates, and have coached Pirates juniors in club, rep and school teams. My two daughters have represented the Pirates since under-12s.
