The Coles Express NBL1 will celebrate NAIDOC week with the NBL1 First Nations Round this weekend. The Pirates are privileged to have a rich diverse culture within our NBL1 teams so it only seemed natural to celebrate NAIDOC week with our own Pirates Indigenous uniforms. The uniforms were designed from art by aboriginal artist Elizabeth Maloney. The team at Veto Sports then worked their magic to turn the artwork into our amazing uniforms. Our teams will wear them with pride in our away game this Friday night against RedCity during the First Nations Round. However, because we also want to celebrate with all our Pirate family, we will wear them the following week in our home game against Brisbane. There are lots of activities planned for that night at The Ship to celebrate Indigenous culture.
