The South West Metro Pirates are excited to welcome Aja Parham-Ammar as the head coach of the Men’s NBL1 team for 2023. A former professional WNBA player, Aja is the founder of SportsMindset created to combine the world of sport with sport fitness. Two years ago Aja became the first woman to coach a mens NBL1 team, and in that year took the team to the NBL1 playoffs.
"I’m thrilled to be joining the Pirates family for the ‘23 season. The Board and Staff are very clear with their direction and I’m excited to start building our team and getting back on the floor.
