The South West Metro Pirates are seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Men's NBL1 Head Coach for the 2023 NBL1 North Season.
Working closely with the Coaching Director and Management Committee, the Head Coach of our Men's team will be responsible for the recruitment, preparation, development and coaching of players for the NBL1 North Competition in 2023.
The Head Coach will lead our senior program with a goal to build a strong relationship with our junior program and players, and a connection to the basketball community in South West Brisbane.
Key Attributes:
An in-depth knowledge of coaching basketball at a similar or higher level
Outstanding communication, motivation and managerial skills within a coaching and player development environment
A willingness to build a program with an emphasis on incorporating South West players to help build a pathway for junior development
Be willing to work with our junior program in line with the Pirates philosophy of individual player development and Style of Play
Ability to create a professional culture that emphasis holistic development
Organised, adaptable and willing to work within the structure of the wider association
The successful candidate will possess:
A Working with Children’s Check / Current Blue Card
Experience coaching within the NBL1 or similar system (Level 2 Coaching Qualification)
