Are you interested in playing basketball this year? Would you like to get your children involved in an indoor sport? That's right, no more standing out in the hot sun, or trying to stay dry in the pouring rain, while you cheer on your child's team. All of our junior, and senior, competitions are played indoors.
Our junior competitions are played on Friday nights and Saturdays, depending on the age group, across three venues:
Calamvale Community College, off Muirhead St, Calamvale (Friday nights only),
Runcorn High School, Hill Rd, Runcorn (Friday nights and Saturdays) or,
Hibiscus Sports Complex, Klumpp Rd, Upper Mt Gravatt (Saturdays only).
You have a choice of six affiliated Clubs to join:
Algester Hawks
Cannons Southside (Calamvale)
River City Hornets (Mt Gravatt)
Rochedale Wildcats
Runcorn Rockets
Sunnybank Hills Hurricanes.
Most Clubs have teams from Under 8's through to Under 18's and some offer places in Senior teams.
Our senior competitions are held at either Runcorn High School or the Hibiscus Sports Complex:
Women's Social - Tuesday nights at Runcorn High
Men's League (Div. 1 & 2) - Wednesday nights at Runcorn High
Men's League (Div. 1, 2, 3 & 4) - Sunday nights at Hibiscus Sports Complex
For further information, we are offering some "OPEN DAY" times at Hibiscus Sports Complex over the next few weeks:
11am – 3pm
Mondays 8/1, 15/1, 22/1,
Tuesdays 9/1, 16/1, 23/1,
Thursdays 4/1, 11/1, 18/1 or,
Fridays 5/1, 12/1, 19/1 (Noon - 4pm)
You are welcome to drop in on any of the days above, to be guaranteed we’ll be here to answer your questions regarding our Association, our competition structures and our affiliated Clubs.
