Star recruit for QBL newcomers the Sunshine Coast Rip, Lance Hurdle, will bring his high flying antics to the "Ship" on Saturday night. Hurdle has fully recovered from an ACL knee injury that forced him out of the NBL with the Woolongong Hawks two years ago. The Rip have yet to get their first win and will be hungry to get a W on the ledger.
If there is someone capable of meeting him above the rim, it will be towering centre Jason Conrad. Conrad's papers should arrive this week from FIBA clearing him to play after arriving last Friday. His length and athleticism will give the Pirates another facet to their game!
