Kieron Bairstow will take time out from his business commitments to help out the Pirates until import Tanner McGrew arrives from the USA. McGrew, the NCAA Div 2 leading rebounder will not arrive until mid May and will miss the first three games. Bairstow is of similar size and strength to McGrew, and will be more than capable at filling the void at power forward until his bruise brother arrives. Kieran will join his brother Jarred to form a formidable combination in size, strength and skill that will cause problems for opposing teams. Exactly which games Kieran will be available for is still to be determined. The first three rounds are all at home with Toowoomba at the "Ship" this weekend Saturday 30th April, Gladstone on the following Sunday, 8th May, and expansion team Sunshine Coast Rip on Saturday 14th May.
