Senior Social Basketball Competitions
The Pirates offers senior competitions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Sundays.
Venue for all senior fixtures is Hibiscus Sports Complex - Klumpp Road, Upper Mt Gravatt.
Anyone interested in nominating a team, or interested in joining a team, should contact the Competitions Coordinator relevant to that competition.

Tuesday Night Women - Divisions 1 (Gold) & 2 (Purple)
Competition has two seasons per year:
Season 1 runs from January - June
Season 2 runs from July - December

Wednesday Senior Men - Divisions 1, 2 & 3
Competition has two seasons per year:
Season 1 runs from February - June
Season 2 runs from July - December

Competition has two seasons per 12-month cycle:
Summer Season runs from October 2022 - March 2023

REGISTRATION FEES
All players must be registered online via Basketball Connect, prior to taking the court, for each competition they participate in. Players need to register directly into each team they are playing for - your team organiser/manager will need to send you an invitation link to register with the team.
**Effective 1 January 2023**
Basketball Queensland Senior Player Registration (valid 365 days) - $71.61
SWM Senior Player Season Fee (payable for each competition & season) - $45.00
*The South West Metro fee is payable for each competition & season you register to play in.
*The BQ Registration lasts for 365-days and applies to all competitions you play in. If it expires during the season of a competition you are registering for, you will be prompted to renew and pay for it.
Any team fielding an unregistered player will be forfeited, while repeated infringements may incur removal from the competition.
GAME FEES
There is a weekly game fee of $85.00*, payable to the venue supervisor before the game.
*Game fees will increase to $90.00 in all competitions commencing after 1 April, 2023.
A team cannot take the court unless payment is made. Point penalties apply if payment is not made prior to scheduled start time, including forfeit if not done by the end of 1st quarter.
FORFEITS
Teams must give at least 48 hours notice of a forfeit to avoid any monetary penalties.
Forfeits within 48 hours notice may incur a forfeit fee equal to double the usual game fee.
ALL SENIOR FORFEITS INCUR A -3 POINT LADDER PENALTY, REGARDLESS OF NOTICE TIME GIVEN.
