Players should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to game time and then leave the stadium promptly after the game has finished.

SOUTH WEST METRO "McDONALD'S SUPERHOOPERS" PROGRAMS

2022 TERM 1 Registrations will open in January.

"McDonald's Superhoopers" is an introductory skill development program, run each term,  for new players aged 5 - 12, at various schools in the South West Metro catchment area on a week day, as well as at Hibiscus on a Saturday morning.

The full term cost of $98 for a "New" participant covers weekly session costs and a Pirates "McDonald's Superhoopers" backpack, ball and singlet. 

All "Returning" participants do not receive any gear, but pay a reduced term fee of $68.

These sessions are only held during the school terms. In Term 1, you'll find the Pirates coaching at:

St Stephen's School, Algester - Wednesdays 3.35pm - 4.30pm (Skills and Drills) commencing on Wednesday 9/2/22 to 30/3/22.

Hibiscus Sports Complex - Saturdays 7.50am - 8.50am (Skills and Drills) commencing Saturday 5/2/22 to 26/3/22.

Westfield Garden City "GC Slam Court" - Saturdays 9.45am - 10.45am (Skills and Drills) commencing Saturday 5/2/22 to 30/3/22.

Coaches run through the basics of basketball at the Skills and Drills sessions, using play-based games. These sessions focus on dribbling, passing, listening and shooting.

All new children can attend a free trial to see if they enjoy the program, then sign up for the following week if they are keen to continue.

TAKING THE NEXT STEP AFTER OUR McDONALD'S SUPERHOOPERS PROGRAMS:

When you feel they are ready to start playing basketball, depending on your child's age, the coordinator or coach can assist in placing your child into either a team in one of our competitions held on Saturday mornings or into the S.S. Pirateball sessions at Runcorn High - this will only be open to players aged between 5 and 7 in 2022 and all participants must be affiliated with a Club - see listing below for options. The skill development sessions and modified scrimmages at Runcorn High will use 8ft rings and be on the smaller courts on Saturday mornings.

All participants must be turning 7 years old or younger in 2022.

Children turning 8 or older in 2022, will need to join a Club to play in our Under 10's - Under 18's competitions - see listing below for options.

JUNIOR CLUB BASKETBALL

Season 1 2022 commences on 4/5 February and will run for 18 weeks, including Grading and Finals, with a break in April for the school holidays.

Each team must pay a weekly game fee to participate ($85).

Teams must give at least 48 hours notice of forfeits to avoid any monetary penalties. 

Forfeits within 48 hours notice may incur a forfeit fee equal to double the usual game fee. 

ALL SENIOR FORFEITS INCUR A -3 POINT LADDER PENALTY, REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT OF NOTICE GIVEN.
