SOUTH WEST METRO "McDONALD'S SUPERHOOPERS" PROGRAMS

TERM 1 Registrations are now open!

"McDonald's Superhoopers" is an introductory skill development program, run each term,  for new players aged 5 - 12, at various schools in the South West Metro catchment area on a week day, as well as at Hibiscus on a Saturday morning.

**EXCEPTION** FUNcorn @ Runcorn High is now only open to players aged between 5 and 9 this year, as these participants play modified games in the Under 8 Miniball competition.

If your child is turning 10, 11 or 12 this year, please choose a Club from the list below. They will be able to place your child into either an Under 10 or Under 12 team this season.

The full term cost for a "New" participant covers weekly session costs and a Pirates "McDonald's Superhoopers" backpack, ball and singlet.

All "Returning" participants do not receive any gear, but pay a reduced term fee.

These sessions are only held during the school terms. This term, you'll find the Pirates coaching at:

St Stephen's School, Algester - Wednesdays 3.35pm - 4.30pm (Skills and Drills) commencing on Wednesday 3 February 2021

FUNcorn @ Runcorn High - Saturdays 8.00am - 8.50am (Modified basketball games) commencing Saturday 6 February 2021

Westfield Garden City "GC Slam Court" - Saturdays 9.45am - 10.45am (Skills and Drills) commencing Saturday 6 February 2021.

Coaches run through the basics of basketball at the Skills and Drills sessions, using play-based games. These sessions focus on dribbling, passing, listening and shooting.

The modified games at Runcorn High are played on 8ft rings and across the court. These games are conducted in conjunction with the players in U/8 Club basketball competition, so participants must be turning 9 years old or younger in 2021.

All new children can attend a free trial to see if they enjoy the program, then sign up for the following week if they are keen to continue.
